Story-in-Short:
In my view:
We never know what life has in store for us. We never know
when people, whom we perceive to be magnificent, turn into beasts. We never
know what flukes we may accost in future. And it is needless to say that life is
impulsive. It has been observed that females are more valiant than males. They
may be sensitive but they can handle any difficult situation dauntlessly.
History is a witness to several such instances where in something unanticipated
happens. But females face it boldly instead of dreading away. Here, I am done
reading Obstinacy: The Dauntless Chase by Dishna.
This story is about a woman Cleo and her life full of struggles.
Cleo – a teacher falls in love with a person who turns out to be an alcoholic after marriage. This relation proceeds like a roller coaster ride with
good and bad happenings popping up every now and then. But for how long can a
person bear prejudice? For how long can a human being bear taunts, beatings and
all sorts of emotional trauma? Cleo soon got separated from her husband and started
living her life alone.
But destiny had something else planned out for this
courageous lady. During a session, she comes across a person who tries to
fulfill this space in her life. This story is not another ordinary story. It is
special; special in itself. It is a story of a woman who goes through traumatic
situation in life but never gives up. It is a story of a mother who raises her
son Steve, in spite of several hardships in life. This story teaches a reader
to adjust with the situation and live life as it is. It is a story that gives
birth to optimism among readers.
The path of life is always difficult, for every person born on this planet. But that doesn't mean we should give up. This story reminds me of a quote by Joel
Osteen who said: “In difficult times, we're not
supposed to quit believing; we're not supposed to quit growing.”
Over-all: The cover of the
book is intriguing and the title too is catchy. The synopsis of the story gives
a little bit of hint to the readers. The narration of the story is humble and
easy to comprehend. The plot of the story is decent. At certain places, I did
feel that the author should have stretched the story as readers begin to demand
more. Yet, the
story is refreshing and has potentials to charm a reader.
Recommending this
book to my readers, I would rate it with 4.25/5. Congratulations to Dishna for
coming up with a story as amazing as this. Hope she continues writing and
spreading optimism through her stories!
