Story-in-Short:
Ever heard about the four corners of the circle? Since
childhood, it has been taught in schools that the circle has no corners. Life
is never-ending marathon. It keeps on revolving in circles, and everyone is in
search of a final destination, a corner, that they never reach. This book is a
small initiative to throw light on different aspects of that education system
and how could we join hands to make it more productive.
It guides the aspiring students to follow a right approach,
take correct decisions, and overcome distractions in their career. It advocates
that the educational institutions should focus on enlightening the lives of the
students by providing quality education, quality learning ambience, practical
grounds to implement class room theories, and by helping students convert their
black car into a white one. The book is neither biased towards students nor
educational institutes; the sole purpose is to provide their individual
perspectives and reach to a common conclusion.
The book contains five theories, which Mr. Mohit Jain has
discovered in his sixteen years of teaching experience and which would help the
youngsters reach closer and closer to their goals.
This book is about us.
In my view:
And here is my review on Four Corners of the Circle. The
author of this book is a teacher and mentor who is a trainer for Management
students for several years now. This book is an outcome of his experience into
the field and his observations. The book basically begins with a description of
MBA students, why should students not do MBA and then it covers everything which
is essential for a student to know.
As I began reading the first chapter, it fascinated me so
much, that I did not feel like putting the book down further. Every chapter captivates
a reader’s attention bit by bit and how the book ends, remains unknown.
Through Four Corners of the Circle, author Mohit Jain pulls
off the curtains from those realities which are still hidden from many
students. The book tells a reader how much important is experience more than worry of earning money. The current state of colleges, universities and
education has been told by the author in the book.
The author has also mentioned his experience with his
students. He has frankly yet intelligently narrated those things that he has
observed, witnessed and perceived. His own inspiring examples have been staged
at places.
Students often, don’t even look at the Motivational Books
thinking that it has all sort of scrap. I can’t say about other books but can
assure, confidently, that this book doesn’t has any such thing which creates
boredom. The book will surely glue you up from the beginning till the end. And
the best part is you get to learn a lot from the book.
One crucial thing that I would like to highlight here is
that the book generates a lot of optimism among readers. Reading the book
shatters off disappointment and develops a new ray of hope. While reading the
book one feels as if the author is sitting in front and revealing things out.
And that’s really, really good.
I would call the book a guide to student’s life!
Speaking over-all, the title of the book itself is unique.
It makes a reader to think that how can a circle have corners and that too
four corners. But the secret behind the title is present in the book! The cover too is
simple and sweet. The narration style of the author is comprehensible and
student-friendly. Drawbacks: Honestly, I just found a single mistake where in
instead of ‘their’ ‘they’ has been printed. Otherwise, no error in the book and
it goes perfectly fine!
Keeping all things in mind, I would rate the book with
4.75/5. It’s a must-read! I would recommend this book to all my dear readers,
especially students! Congratulating the author, I would wish him all the very
best for his future projects! Hope the author comes with more such books!
NOTE: A reviewers copy of the book was sent by the author himself. I would like to thank him for the copy!
