In My View:

Problems and difficulties do not pounce on people on the basis of their financial condition. Every person – right from the richest person to the poorest – faces some or the other problems in life. And while one goes through a complicated phase, one really requires a strong support, to calm one down, to help one remain stable and to help going. And we all have that one person who understands us even better than ourselves. 

Guardian Angels by Rohit Gore has this fascinating and touching story, revolving around Aditya and Radha – both coming from different sections of the society, yet helping each other, as if they were made for each other. 

The protagonists - Aditya Mehta, born with a silver spoon, is the son of the richest businessman in the city, and Radha Deodhar, belonging to a city-based middle class family, come across each other when the later invites trouble on herself to save the former from the spoilt brats of their school. Her helping hand and sporadic action to protect Aditya from the school troublers leaves an indelible mark on Aditya, who is left lonely in the school, and sees a robust support in Radha. 

And precisely like a robust support, Radha stands staunchly next to Aditya when he witnesses some really difficult phases of his life. With each passing day, their relation expands many folds, before crossing the boundary of friendship and entering into that of love. But suddenly there is something that drives them away, especially Radha, who herself begins to maintain a distance from Aditya and tries not to evade his life – a decision she makes for the betterment of Aditya. But, why? What propels her to take this decision, despite knowing the reality? And which way is their relation destined to proceed? This is what you’ll acquire in the course of reading the novel! 

The story, though extremely fictitious, will leave an ineradicable impact on one. The touch of humanity that it has been given makes it a gripping tale! 

The cover of the book is really interesting and well-designed. The narration and the storyline is indeed fascinating, making the story addictive for readers. The characters are strong and the story has been framed in such a manner that one doesn’t feel like keeping the book aside. The story, to be frank, has got this appealing quality, which makes it further enthralling. 

However, there’s a thing one finds difficulty in digesting – Aditya Mehta’s continuous silence over the constant torture he accosts in school, despite being the richest person’s son. Though it is said in the book that his complaints would have left a shameful impact on his father’s impression, it is not really a comfortable reason. I think, from here-on the author could have given some other route to the story.

But nevertheless, the further extension doesn’t become a problem, as one is easily able to relate to the story, comprehend it, and thus enjoy it. 

Considering everything, I am rating the book with 4/5! Kudos to the author for coming up with a story as fascinating as this one! Looking forward to read more from him!

Thirty-three year old Ria Marathe, a successful scriptwriter, lost her husband and only son in a terrible accident, and later came to know her childhood sweetheart husband was cheating on her for a long time. Faced with a lifetime of misery, she has decided to commit suicide.

Sixty-three year old Rana Rathod, a long forgotten author, has carelessly lived off the trust created by his wealthy family and feels betrayed by his two children who sided with his wife during their brutal divorce thirty years back. He fears he is going to die a bitter man.

Will Aryan lose his childhood to his loneliness? Will Ria lose her life to her tragedy? Will Rana lose his dignity to his past sins?

Circle of Three is about finding a new beginning in life, of forgiving and ultimately, finding hope.

In my view:

Every tunnel has a light at its end. Every person passes through a dark tunnel, at some point of time, when challenges hurled by life are tougher, situations abstruse, circumstances run totally against and solution isn’t available instantly. Every person aspires this darker side to fade away or conclude quickly. But things don’t always happen according to our will. 

We can lead life our way, but cannot erase complications written in our destiny. But everything happens for a reason; one must never lose hope, however vigorously difficult things get. This hope plays a significant role in our lives and it has that power which helps us in moving ahead, facing the barriers. 

Circle of Three by Rohit Gore, remarkably illuminates that one needs to have hope in life. The three protagonists of this story – Aryan Khosla, Ria Marathe and Rana Rathod are amidst of an intricate life, with nothing happening in their favour. A teenage kid Aryan considers his birth as a mistake and is sick of busy parents fighting constantly and school bullies troubling him. Ria Marathe, who loses her husband and child, is depressed and gets slightly paranoiac as time passes. Rana Rathod, a long forgotten author, who separates with his wife, fears a bitter death.  

Incidentally, they meet and after initial hurdles, get along well with each other. They meet-up frequently, discuss, and inspire and stimulate each other. They attempt to eliminate the depression that life drags them in, engage in activities and attempt to establish a better life. But what will happen eventually? Will they emerge as pillars or will their worst fears come true? Well, for this, you’ll have to read the book.

The story appeals one as soon as one reads its synopsis. From beginning to end, the story is marvellous. Such an amazing piece of work it is; absolutely amazing. Possessing an interesting cover the book gets one a totally gripping tale, which only immerses one deeper and deeper into it. The beginning is quite fragile and one takes slight time to understand the story, after which it gets so pleasurable that one doesn’t feel like leaving the book aside. 

The story connects well emotionally, and one starts empathizing with the protagonists. So much does the story pulls one into it that one cannot, or rather does not, feel like coming out of it. What it signifies is very crucial – hope, as I have aforementioned. Notably, the protagonists survive on the raft of hope regardless of the ridiculous situations in life. The story strongly conveys the importance of hope and asks one to have it in life. Had the protagonists lost hope, the outcome wouldn’t have been so noble. 

 

The story moves at a very slow pace and the characters are well built, avoiding any clashes or complications from occurring in the course of reading. Twists and turns in the story are the frosting over the cake, which only keeps one hooked to it, with the desperate desire of finding what happens further. The vocabulary used is rich and posh and ends up helping one in learning new words! 

My recommendation for such an awesome book goes without saying! 

Concluding the review and considering everything, I am rating Circle of Three with 4.5/5! Best wishes to author Rohit Gore, and I hope he comes up with more such interesting stories!

In my view:

You search for a romantic fiction and you’ll get many. Love is this amazing thing which can ever happen to someone on this planet. But not everyone goes through a healthy love relation. Love changes life dramatically - for some in a positive way and for some in a negative way. Everyone has their own story to narrate; everyone has an anecdote to share with the masses. 

But how many of these stories teach you the meaning of real love? How many of them make you realize certain important things about love? How many of them teach you the manner in which you need to move ahead in a relationship? And most importantly, how many of them have clubbed the viewpoints of an entire generation about romance in the 21^st Century.  By now, you must have started thinking about that one such book which precisely has all these factors. 

Well, the truth is, there hasn’t been a single platform where all the troubles have been heard and voiced out at the same time. But thanks to Shomprakash Sinha Roy, for coming out with this exceptionally well-written novel - 21 Things About Romance. 

Right from development of feelings to confessions to relationships - this book has covered everything in it, with opinion and perspectives from both the sides. The emotions, feelings and complications that lovers usually come across in relationships, has been explicitly and flamboyantly described by the author. The analytical descriptions are agreeable. In the course of reading the book, you’ll come across selected excerpts of interactions that the author had with the 21 winners of the Lovesteps contest conducted by Grapevine publications. The incidents and affairs happened in their lives will help you establish a deeper contact with the book. 

To avoid incomprehensibility, the author has been generous enough to use simple language in the book. He has creatively framed up sentences and the narration style is completely intriguing. The illustrations, before each chapter, are fascinating. The cover page has been well designed and is attractive enough, though the paper quality isn’t really impressive. There are moments when the author uses his own life experiences in the book, to explain and deliver some crucial message to readers. 

21 Things About Romance is a book which readers are going to cherish; cherish for a long time. It is a book which will take them on a pleasurable journey. It is not just for those who have been in relationships, but also for those who are, or think they are going to be in one. This book will help lovers to strengthen their association and maintain a healthy relationship. 

All in all, it is a book which one shouldn’t miss as it offers a lot! I am, for sure, recommending this book to all my readers! Do read 21 Things About Romance and explore ways to be happy and exultant in love life!

In my view:

For every parent, their child is important. Parents love their children the way they are, and love them to the core. We frequently get to hear about children going missing and parents leaving every stone unturned to search them.  Lost in Pattaya is a heart-touching story of a father whose girl goes missing. 

Palash’s little daughter Li Ya goes missing from a busy street of Singapore. This happens when Palash indulges himself in purchasing drugs while his wife had asked him to take care of their daughter. Worried parents of Li Ya search her in and around that area. They show people her snaps, in an attempt to get details from pedestrians and locals but all in vein. In the aftermath of this incident, Palash’s life turns upside down. His wife files for a separation. Palash also loses his job. 

Even in this traumatic phase, he doesn’t give up his search for his little daughter. He goes from one brothel to another to get a clue of his daughter. But will Palash be able to find his daughter? What will all this lead to? What has his destiny set for him? To know more about the story, grab your copy of the book and go through it!

The book gets us the story of a father who tries his level best to search his daughter even when surrounded by difficult circumstances. It is a poignant tale of father’s negligence leading to the happenstance, his genuine feelings and attempts to trace his daughter. The story doesn’t terminate easily and there is a lot more in it! 

The cover page of the book is not that appealing and I feel it could have been better. The title is captivating enough. The plot of the story is different and its narration is enthralling. The story commences lackadaisically, at a slow pace. But as it proceeds further, it becomes interesting before enthralling readers. It creates curiosity among readers to find out what exactly happens to Li Ya and Palash. 

In between, the story becomes a bit dull at times; making readers monotonous, but curiosity takes care of attention by hooking it up to the book. Frankly, I found the second half better than the first. 

I would like my readers to give this book a try, as it has something new to deliver. While going through the story, feelings of it getting predictable do invade, but it turns otherwise when one goes through it in detail. A wonderful attempt and a fascinating story it is! 

Considering everything, I would rate the book with 4/5. And yes, I am looking forward to read more from the author!
