Story-in-Short:

On a trip to meet an ailing relative in Gangaikondacholapuram, Akash is introduced to conflict when a simple village girl, Ganga trespasses his thoughts. His mind fails to elude Ganga and, being overwhelmed by the new found emotion, his attempts to free himself of his battles only grip him t

ighter. As his mind flits between Ganga and Ganesan, another tormented soul, Akash’s only reprieve could have been a banter with his father, when unexpectedly he hears the news of his father’s expiry. Little did he know that his father’s demise and the ensuing trip to the village would alter his cynical view of the world. In this journey from boyhood to manhood, Akash derives profound meaning through his retrospective deliberations on his dead father’s words.

In my view:

City life is so hectic and scheduled that people often fail to discover the real aspects of life. Work profile, surviving in a competitive world and making as much money as possible, becomes a priority. If compared to the city life, village life is much more relaxing and rejuvenating.

I’ve finished reading Newton’s Law Reversed by Howard Roark. 

Akash the protagonist of the story visits Gangaikondacholapuram, a village in South India, to visit an ill relative. Akash who is accompanied by his mother, misses the presence of his father. He was close to his father and eagerly followed father’s advices. This visit that Akash considers ordinary, turns out to be a special one. Akash comes across a cultured, erudite and knowledgeable girl- Ganga. Ganga’s quality attracts Akash and he falls for her. On another hand, Ganga too, feels development of similar feelings for him.

Apart from Ganga, Akash and Parvathy (Akash’s mother), there’s another key character in the story – Ganesan. Villagers have abhorrence towards Ganesan due to come reasons. Interesting is the role that the man plays in this love story. Will the relationship of Akash and Ganga flourish? It won’t really be fair if I reveal everything out here. But I am sure you desire to find out what happens ahead, right? Grab your copies of the book and go through this enchanting tale!

Over-all: By looking at the cover and reading the title of the book, one feels that it is a sci-fi novel. But no, it isn’t. Although the title of the story is good enough, the cover design could have been better. The initial part of the book left me confused. I couldn’t really understand what was going on in the story. But as I patiently moved ahead, scenes became clear, getting the story on a comprehensible track. 

Excluding the first two chapters, the narration of the story is good. The story moves on a slow pace, letting readers imbibe it completely. To make scenes sparkling there are drawings on certain pages of the story. Also, the story is rich in vocabulary which is another affirmative aspect. I myself got to learn many new words. 

The story is impressing as it has so many positive things to offer and I would like my readers to give it a try. 

Considering everything, I would rate the book with 3.75/5. Congratulation to Howard and I hope he comes up with more stories!
